2009 New Year's Resolutions
(back from a FREEZING night sleeping in the campervan in the Peak District)

I can't resist. Not sure why - I rarely keep to them for more than a few weeks. But there is something irresistible about that clean slate to write on - a fresh new year. A chance to do things right.

1. Stop shopping! (go for the shabby-chic retro look).
2. Follow my running training plan on Buckeyeoutdoors to be prepared for the White Peak Swift Half Marathon in May and the Mendip Muddle 20K in October.
3. I found a quote I really like: Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away. Make sure that I'm not too busy to notice them.

Nice quote Toni. Another one I like that I've been sharing as it seems appropriate today. "Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right." Happy New Year.

I'm with you on the stop shopping front - 2008 had a few too many retail moments. I love the quotation.

Happy new 2009.

I bought a new coat yesterday! Of course I had a good reason. It was 7 degrees and a heavy wind chill. Even with my heaviest coat on I felt cold in the wind. So I drove up to L L Beans and bought a -40 degree coat.....boy that felt good.

I love that quote...it is so true.

I don't have a newyears resolution yet, perhaps I will think of one.
